The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Kuwait

Kuwait’s 5 star plus Crowne Plaza Hotel offers 329 luxurious rooms and suites, with top class amenities and services. The hotel was commissioned in 1982 and has been fully renovated and refurbished several times, the latest in 2007. It has won several awards among the chain of hotels for service, quality and modernisation. The hotel is currently undergoing a phenomenal expansion which will more than double its existing size and capacity, and will include additional rooms and suites (approximately 225 keys), a large banquet hall/convention centre, meeting rooms, three basement floors of car parking and a new state-of the-art spa of international standards.

 

The Holiday Inn, Kuwait

Located in the Salmiya area near the sea in a landmark location, the Holiday Inn Kuwait currently comprises 139 rooms and suites, with four themed restaurants and leisure dining facilities plus meeting and conference rooms and a large recreation club. The hotel is currently undergoing a comprehensive expansion which, when completed, will render it an impressive deluxe hotel of 330 keys with a new banquet hall, meeting rooms, new restaurants and enlarged health club facilities.

 

Staybridge Suites, Kuwait

Another development of Staybridge Hotels is to be located in the residential area of Salmiya, an annex to the Holiday Inn Kuwait. Staybridge Hotel is a new brand of three star hotels recently created by the InterContinental Hotel Group recently, and is now being promoted in the Gulf region (the first will be opened in Dubai). The building is 20 storeys high with the ground floor being the entrance, lounge, reception and restaurant. The mezzanine floor will be used as a service floor while the first floor is designed to have meeting rooms and a recreation area with a swimming pool. The second to the 18th floor will be typical hotel floors, each providing five suites, the last two floors will consist of two units of one bedroom apartments. The interior concept for the Staybridge will be simple and sleek to cater to the young executive crowd coming for both long and short stays.

 

InterContinental Hotel & Tower, Kuwait

The project is located on Ahmed Al Jaber Street, in the heart of Kuwait Financial District, the shoring and excavation work is a design by HOK Washington, with a total plot area of approximately 6340m2 and total built up area of 85,000 m2. With its dynamic sculpture form, and a total height of 225 metres, the proposed Tower will be a major landmark in Kuwait. The majestic tower is 70 storeys high, housing a commercial mall. The first 25 typical floors will be used as the hotel guest room floors and the upper floors as offices.
The new 6-star hotel has 200 guest rooms and 20 luxurious guest suites (most of which will have a sea view), health club, swimming pool, multi specialty restaurants, hi-tech meeting rooms and banqueting halls, high-speed elevators, car parking facilities etc. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2010.

Annexed to the Crowne Plaza Hotel will be the development of the Staybridge Suites Hotel of approximately 120 rooms, 73 apartments 120m2 each plus offices and shops.
